For small businesses

Stop paying agency
prices for small
business work.

Slate is a graphic design subscription built for founders and growing teams, giving you unlimited requests, 48-hour turnaround, and one flat monthly rate.

Pause or cancel anytime. No contracts.

Sound familiar?

Design is costing you more than it should.

Agency quotes that balloon

You ask for a logo refresh. They send a proposal for a brand strategy, a discovery phase, and a bill that could hire someone part-time.

Freelancers who go quiet

Great work when they're available. But "I'll have it to you by Friday" has a way of sliding into the following Thursday.

Retainers you don't fully use

Paying a monthly fee regardless of how much work you actually have is fine. Until it isn't.

Why Slate saves you money

Three reasons small businesses choose Slate.

Not features. Actual financial reasons.

01

One flat rate. Zero surprises.

Agencies bill hourly. Freelancers invoice per project. Slate costs the same every month, regardless of how much you use it — whether you send one request or twenty. No scope creep, no discovery fees, no "that's out of brief" conversations.

£599/mo. Unlimited requests.

02

48-hour turnaround. Not 48 days.

Every day your website looks dated, your flyer sits unprinted, or your pitch deck uses the wrong logo is a day design is costing you money quietly. Most Slate requests are back on your desk within 48 hours — and bigger projects are broken into stages so progress never stops.

Most requests delivered in 48 hours.

03

Pause when you're quiet. Resume when you're busy.

Design demand isn't constant. Most agencies lock you into retainers you pay whether you have work or not. With Slate, you can pause your plan mid-cycle and bank the remaining days for when your queue fills back up.

Unused days are banked, not wasted.

Convinced? Let's find 30 minutes to talk it through.

We'd been through two agencies and still didn't have a brand we were proud of. Dan nailed it in the first week. The quality is genuinely impressive and the turnaround is faster than anything we've experienced before.

Common questions

Quick answers.

Do I need an existing brand to get started?

Not at all. Starting from scratch is one of the most common reasons small businesses come to Slate. Whether you need a logo, a brand identity, or just a consistent look and feel built from the ground up, that's all in scope.

What if I only have one or two requests a month?

The subscription works well at low volume too. If your queue runs dry, you can pause mid-cycle and bank the unused days for when things pick up. You only pay for the time you actively use.

How does pausing work?

Subscriptions run on 31-day billing cycles. If you pause partway through, your remaining days are banked and restored when you resume. There's no pressure to fill every day of the month.

Am I locked in?

No contract, no lock-in. Slate bills monthly and you can cancel before your next billing date with no questions asked. Some clients subscribe for a single month for a specific project, then return when they need it again.

What kinds of design do small businesses typically request?

Logos, brand guidelines, social media templates, flyers, brochures, email headers, pitch decks, website mockups, and packaging are the most common. If it's a design task, it's almost certainly in scope.
